​​Established in January 2024, Western MedTech was created out of a simple and enduring truth: MedTech is alarmingly underserved in Western Canada. We have right here some of the most talented founders and start-up teams building transformative technologies, but too often they lack the networks, customer access, and community support they need to thrive.

We exist to change that. Western MedTech is building a network of networks, designed to connect start-up leaders in the trenches with the people who matter most — peers who understand their challenges, investors who believe in their vision, and healthcare customers ready to pilot and adopt innovation.

Our role is not to be another wannabe Silicon Valley community, but to be a practical, on-the-ground space where Canadian founders can test ideas, exchange hard-won lessons, and gain exposure that accelerates real-world impact. By putting entrepreneurs directly in front of decision-makers and fostering meaningful collaboration, we help elevate Canadian MedTech, keep the technology here and improve medical care for all Canadians while contributing to the local economy and inspiring more people to live and work and stay in Canada.
